So I decided to spend my year here because it's London. It's such a big city. It's also a bit of a hub for the world. It's really an international spot, which means I get a lot of experience with other cultures.

Why not? I mean, you gain lots of experience. You develop your skills, develop your CV. Do you make new contacts? I do want to work in a multinational company, and London is the business hub. For that, it gives me a lot of placement opportunities.

It was very social. We're quite lucky that the university put a lot of effort in to make the international students feel really comfortable. Very explosive. It's actually really welcoming and really friendly.

There were a lot of people that generally felt that I was excited to have you here, and that just made that transition a lot easier. We did an interior design internship, and I had a real client which I had to work with.

And the first part is that this project will actually be built in 2024, and my name will be on it. So that's just amazing. Everything's a lot hands -on. We're using different equipment that I wouldn't be using back home, so it's been really nice to see how two different systems show the same thing.

I was shocked because there is so much good food. There is so many beautiful museums around and art. I love fashion and shopping. The charity stores. I didn't expect how much there would be going on here.

Like, I knew it was a big city and that there's a lot of people, but I didn't realise how there's so much to see, so much to do, and there's so many different parts of London. I'm, like, a football fanatic, so playing football as well as watching football, having the opportunity to go to stadiums.

I just think that's brilliant. Quite lucky. Everyone in my flat is from different places. I've got some friends that are from, like, France, Spain. Sri Lanka, South Africa, Philippines. Switzerland, India, Iran and Uganda.

Colombia, Venezuela. So it's nice to have, like, a different dynamic of people. I used to live with people from Canada and India, and one of the nicest memories I have about Canada is when I used to go home.

I entered and I remember this beautiful smile. of Indian tea. We're doing like a cooking night so everyone cooks food from each of their countries so we get to talk to each other about foods that they would share within their families.

Before the exchange I can tell I was a completely different person I was very shy I was afraid of asking questions and talking to people I'm not anymore. Personally would probably have been really independent because you haven't got your families around the corner you haven't got your friends around the corner so you really have to rely on yourself.

It's just to break that barrier of being scared and that's very helpful for your confidence. That I am very resilient a lot of difficulties do happen when you are moving and I just feel like no matter what obstacle is thrown at me I have the capability to pick myself up and keep going forward and pushing through.
